About The Position

The Community Resource Coordinator works with community service providers and clients—including homeless service providers, jail and justice initiatives, re-entry services, migrant coordination, law enforcement, and other partner agencies—to address community and client needs. The coordinator identifies and connects jail inmates and other justice-involved or homeless individuals with appropriate transitional and community resources, facilitates service delivery, and builds working relationships across public, nonprofit, faith-based, and business organizations. The coordinator may support outreach, prevention, risk reduction, crisis intervention, and benefits counseling, and helps keep County leadership informed about community issues affecting homeless and re-entry populations. As an El Paso County employee, the position is designated as a Disaster Service Worker and may be required to train for or perform emergency services during a proclaimed emergency.
