About The Position

This position is responsible for managing, developing, implementing, and sustaining community relations programs and initiatives throughout the state of Delaware. The role involves establishing and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholders, advocacy organizations, and advisory committees for all health plan populations. The representative will collaborate with quality improvement and medical management teams to assess systemic needs and develop health improvement initiatives. Additionally, they will develop and implement community outreach initiatives to increase brand awareness and membership, identify and cultivate relationships with community partners for public policy initiatives, and manage the charitable giving program. This role serves as the primary contact for the health plan at community events and meetings, oversees community events and presentations, and produces reports and marketing materials. The position requires adherence to regulations and company policies. The candidate MUST reside in Delaware and will be field-based with 100% travel within the state.

Requirements

• Candidate MUST live in the state of Delaware.
• Community Field Based Travel 100%.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, community relations, social work, business administration, related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of marketing, sales or community relations experience.
• Current state’s driver’s license.
• State Driver’s License.
• Obtain current state’s Accident and Health Insurance Agent License within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Independently identify and cultivate relationships with community partners for collaboration on public policy initiatives.
• Manage charitable giving program in accordance with health plan priorities.
• Serve as the primary contact for the health plan at community health fairs, events and meetings.
• Oversee the coordination and delivery of community events and agency presentations.
• Produce accurate and timely reports, communications and marketing materials for both internal and external purposes.
• Adhere to and promote compliance with federal and state regulations and contractual agreements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
