About The Position

This role is for a Community Relations Officer interested in the mining sector and working within a multicultural, international organization that encourages learning and skills development. The position is with Managem and offers diverse career opportunities in Morocco and abroad. The officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring community development initiatives and social responsibility projects at the site level, maintaining relationships with local communities and stakeholders, and contributing to the identification of socio-economic needs. The role involves managing projects, handling grievances, reporting on social climate, and ensuring compliance with CSR policies.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of local development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and community relations principles.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage social, economic, and community-based projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess community needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and mediation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Good report-writing skills and proficiency in standard office software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a field-based, operational, and multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Good knowledge of the socio-economic landscape and local associations within the Taroudant region would be considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of community development initiatives and social responsibility projects at the site level.
  • Maintain close relationships with local communities, associations, cooperatives, and other regional stakeholders.
  • Contribute to identifying the socio-economic needs of local populations and support the development of appropriate action plans.
  • Monitor the site's social commitments and ensure their effective execution in line with defined objectives and timelines.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, awareness campaigns, and community engagement activities.
  • Manage and monitor the administrative aspects of community projects, including agreements, activity reports, and performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the management of grievances and requests from local stakeholders, ensuring transparent and efficient handling.
  • Participate in the collection, analysis, and reporting of information related to the social climate and territorial challenges.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and performance indicators related to community relations and social development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the Group’s CSR policy and sustainable development commitments within the site perimeter.
