About The Position
The Community & Public Relations Specialist serves as a key liaison between West Shore Home and community organizations in the company’s markets. The role contributes to strategy development and execution at both corporate and branch levels to strengthen and develop the West Shore Home brand nationwide. The position is based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Travel of up to 10% per year is expected. West Shore Home is a technology-driven home improvement company specializing in bathroom, window, and door remodels. It operates in more than 40 locations nationwide and has over 3,000 employees.
Requirements
- A college degree is required; a degree in public relations or communications is preferred.
- Experience in community relations, public relations, event planning, and administration is requested.
- Media relations experience, including media outreach and press release development, is required.

Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and assist in implementing community outreach opportunities that align with the company’s brand, values, and mission.
- Develop communications, including the quarterly West Shore Home newsletter, through idea generation, project management, and article drafting.
- Maintain familiarity with local media organizations in each market and trade industry publications, and assist with media outreach for company events.
- Monitor news in each branch’s market to understand community needs, including natural disasters, emergencies, and unforeseen events.
