About The Position

Beach Front Property Management is seeking a motivated, people-first Property Manager to support a residential community in Van Nuys and assist for one hour per week at a property in North Hollywood. This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Manager or Property Manager who enjoys a hands-on environment and building strong relationships with residents, vendors, and internal teams. The position offers variety, flexibility, and a rare opportunity to live onsite at a deeply discounted rate, playing a vital role in keeping the community running smoothly and creating a welcoming home for residents.

Requirements

  • Prior property management experience (Assistant Manager or Manager level)
  • Solid understanding of Fair Housing and landlord/tenant regulations
  • Strong customer service skills and sound judgment
  • Calm, professional communication—written and verbal
  • Comfort using basic technology (Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams)

  • Experience with Yardi Voyager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly property operations
  • Partner with the Regional Property Supervisor to maintain performance and compliance
  • Market the community and lease vacant units efficiently
  • Keep occupancy strong and ensure vacancies are filled within 30 days
  • Uphold Fair Housing standards and all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Process rent, invoices, and financial transactions using Yardi Voyager
  • Monitor rent rolls and delinquency reports daily
  • Prepare and serve required resident notices, including 3-day notices
  • Address resident concerns professionally while enforcing lease agreements
  • Conduct property inspections and ensure turn units are completed within 3–5 business days
  • Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests and vendor work
  • Complete required reporting, including monthly market surveys
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and provide support during emergencies as needed
  • Assist with other duties as they arise
