About The Position

The employee will assist the Community Divisional Director in the planning, organizing and implementing of a variety of projects related to the successful implementation of agency programming and services. Examples of projects include grant writing, procedure and policy writing, researching best practices, and fundraising.

Requirements

  • Background of management, grant writing, and policy writing.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong relationship builder and communicator with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrates integrity, adaptability, attention to details and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work independently with strong decision-making abilities.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
  • Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).
  • At least 5 years of success demonstrated in project management.
  • Experience in grant writing and non-profit management required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer an undergraduate degree and advanced degree; although, relevant experience can substitute for educational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building financial and in-kind support for National Services programming.
  • Preparation or assisting with grants and fundraising activities for community based programming.
  • Develop plans for success and completion of assigned projects, including maintaining a project timeframe, objectives and communications.
  • Create and manage documentation and reports for all assigned projects.
  • Research best practices to assist with development and review of program procedures.
  • Responsible for planning aspects of staff training activities under the direction of supervisor.
  • Support Directors in managing projects, as assigned by supervisor.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of/or with the Divisional Director when requested, maintaining accurate minutes, records or reports related to meetings as appropriate.
  • Attends agency staff meetings, and staff development activities.
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
