About The Position

Support Solutions has been awarded expansion money to help launch a new pilot program. This innovative pilot will allow us to support more people in need of employment and intermittent community-based services. This position will act as liaison between Direct Support Professionals, and administration for the day-to-day operation of the assigned areas. They will provide positive leadership development and mentoring to their team of direct reports. Additionally, they will ensure that the needs of person(s) supported are met, staffing ratios are correct, staff are properly trained, and documentation is complete and accurate and that all areas of responsibility meet state and licensure requirements. This is a full-time salaried (exempt) position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/ management experience preferably in providing supports for people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Desire and skills to mentor team members.
  • Proficient computer knowledge.
  • Valid driver’s license and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record throughout employment with Support Solutions.
  • Meet state and local requirements regarding criminal background check, sexual offender check, abuse registry, drug screening and felony offender listing.
  • Meet all training requirements and keep training current.

  • College attendance is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Successful program supervision and coordination of community-based waiver services for persons supported.
  • Act as liaison between Direct Support Professionals, and administration for the day-to-day operation of the assigned areas.
  • Provide positive leadership development and mentoring to their team of direct reports.
  • Ensure that the needs of person(s) supported are met.
  • Ensure staffing ratios are correct.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained.
  • Ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure all areas of responsibility meet state and licensure requirements.
  • Manage employment services.
  • Acquire and maintain proper certifications and training required of Supported Employment Managers / Frontline Supervisors responsible for the oversight of Job Developers and Job Coaches.
