About The Position

Tache Pharmacy is seeking motivated and patient-focused pharmacists to embrace the expanded scope of practice for community pharmacists in Manitoba. The pharmacy offers unique opportunities to develop compounding skills in its in-house compounding lab, preparing sterile, hazardous, high-risk, and non-sterile compounds. Tache Pharmacy utilizes advanced automation, including PacMed/PacVision, SynMed, and Count Assist, to streamline compliance packaging, allowing pharmacists to focus on clinical care and patient outcomes. Pharmacists will collaborate with healthcare professionals, provide community outreach, conduct home visits, deliver presentations, and administer immunizations. Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with College of Pharmacist of Manitoba
  • Strong sense of professionalism
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Superior patient and physician relation skills
  • Injection Certification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills
  • Additional accreditation such as a CDE or a Geriatric Pharmacist
  • Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with patients’ physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure positive drug therapy outcomes
  • Conducting health screening clinics
  • Engaging in community outreach programs
  • Conducting immunization clinics
  • Performing medication reviews and medication management services as per the provincial standards
  • Applying full scope of practice as a clinical pharmacist in Manitoba
  • Patient counseling on selection and use of non-prescription medication
  • Ensuring accurate pharmacotherapy
  • Compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products
  • Advising patients and health care professionals on the indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage of medications
  • Maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
  • Ensuring proper preparation, packaging, distribution and storage of vaccines, serums, biologicals and other drugs and pharmaceuticals
