The Lethbridge Police Service is seeking an experienced law enforcement leader to lead and oversee our Community Peace Officer (CPO) Program in the full-time permanent role of Community Peace Officer Sergeant. Reporting to the Field Operations Support Section Staff Sergeant, the CPO Sergeant is responsible for the leadership and administration of the Community Peace Officer Unit, ensuring compliance with provincial legislation, appointment requirements, organizational policies, and professional standards. The CPO Sergeant provides direct supervision and leadership to Community Peace Officers, overseeing operational planning, frontline enforcement activities, recruitment, training, performance management, and community engagement initiatives. This position plays a key role in promoting public safety, fostering positive community relationships, and advancing the priorities of the Lethbridge Police Service. This permanent full-time position falls under the protection of a collective agreement associated to the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 70 contract. CUPE Local 70 represents employees employed in number of civic departments within the City of Lethbridge.
