About The Position

The Community Partner Specialist is a community-focused representative of the North Texas Food Bank that provides support and management of NTFB’s partner agencies while strengthening connections in the community. The position serves as a liaison between NTFB and the assigned community, emphasizing customer service and relationship management, with the ultimate goal of expanding access to nutritious meals for neighbors in need across our 12-county service area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Strong organizational skills, self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with sounds judgement, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaboratively work with diverse groups and build strong community relationships
  • Familiarity with food banking or food pantry systems a plus
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM); Salesforce a plus
  • Two years of account management/customer service experience, with demonstrated goal setting, coaching, evaluation, and relationship development skills

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate strong customer service-oriented relationships within the community to provide partnership support
  • Identify new and existing partners to expand effective food distribution and sites; accountable for growth within assigned communities
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal cross-functional teams and connect those services to partner agencies
  • Collaborate with the NTFB program teams to develop access points of food distribution in underserved areas
  • Develop cooperative partnerships and projects with local organizations and/or government entities to better serve community needs
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide coaching and support opportunities for agency partners
  • Ensure partner compliance with all NTFB contract terms, Feeding Texas, Texas Department of Agriculture, USDA, and Feeding America Membership requirements
  • Analyze partner data and strategize with partner agencies to identify support plans and programs to build capacity
  • Manage the screening and contracting process for new partners
  • Identify service gaps using county and zip code data and implement plans to meet standards, leveraging existing or creating new programs
  • Assist in the development of the annual departmental budget, program, and work plan
  • Monitor on-going projects, software upgrades, and customizations with the NTFB IT Team, providing support as needed
  • Train and support new and existing employees regarding agency partner responsibilities
  • Represent NTFB effectively in the community, as an ambassador of our values and mission
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
