About The Position

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a compassionate and innovative physician leader to serve as their Community Palliative Care Medical Director. This role involves providing clinical expertise and advancing palliative care services across Central Massachusetts. The position offers the opportunity to lead an established community-based program in Leominster and develop a new program in Marlborough, aiming to create a lasting impact on patients, families, and care teams. Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Palliative Care
• Completed Palliative Care Fellowship training
• Must hold a MD or DO degree
• Qualify for a Massachusetts license

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical expertise in palliative care.
• Advance the growth of palliative care services across Central Massachusetts.
• Lead a respected community-based program in Leominster.
• Develop a new palliative care program in Marlborough.
• Drive the strategic growth and development of palliative care services across two community-based campuses.
• Shape a new palliative care program in Marlborough with strong organizational support and leadership engagement.
• Care for a diverse patient population with complex medical and psychosocial needs.
• Utilize Epic EMR and advanced technology tools that support efficient, coordinated care delivery.
• Participate in teaching and mentorship opportunities with residents and hospice and palliative medicine fellows.
