The City of Galveston is excited to announce the launch of its 2026 Summer Internship Program! This program seeks individuals who are looking to develop valuable job skills, clarify their career direction, and gain hands-on experience to complement their degree requirements. Interns will work a minimum of twenty-nine hours per week over a continuous 10-week period, running from late May to mid-July. This is a paid internship, but interns are not entitled to any additional benefits offered to City employees. Interns will have the opportunity to work in one of the following City departments: City Management, Finance, Community Outreach (including Communications, Media, Parks & Recreation, Special Events, Arts & Culture), and Engineering. Each department offers unique projects and assignments designed to give interns a broad understanding of local government operations.
