About The Position

Alignment Health is seeking a Community Outreach Representative to serve as a frontline brand ambassador, generating qualified leads and building meaningful connections within assigned community territories. This role collaborates with licensed sales agents, marketing, and compliance teams to drive enrollment outcomes. The representative supports plan growth by cultivating relationships with seniors, underserved populations, venue partners, and community organizations. This position is crucial for acquiring and retaining Medicare Advantage members through grassroots outreach. This is a field remote position, and candidates must reside in San Joaquin, Merced, or Stanislaus County.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in community outreach, grassroots marketing, field sales support, or customer engagement roles
  • Demonstrated experience generating leads through in-person, community-based events
  • Experience engaging and building trust with seniors, low-income, or underserved populations
  • Comfort operating independently in a field-based, territory-driven environment
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines training (or willingness to complete within 30 days of hire)
  • Salesforce CRM onboarding training (or equivalent CRM system training)
  • Valid state driver's license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration
  • State Health Insurance License — or must obtain within 6 months of hire date

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare, managed care, or Medicare/Medicaid markets
  • Prior experience in a Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal, or health plan outreach role
  • Experience working with Salesforce or equivalent CRM in a field sales or outreach capacity
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Health, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Completion of a Medicare Advantage or managed care product knowledge certification
  • Cultural competency training for working with seniors and diverse populations

Responsibilities

  • Generate and Qualify Leads Through Community Engagement: Drive lead production by executing outreach activities such as health fairs, senior center visits, retail events, food banks, churches, and community organizations. Meet or exceed lead generation targets and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
  • Build and Sustain Community Venue Partnerships: Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with venue partners (senior living facilities, libraries, faith-based organizations, retail locations) to generate prospecting opportunities. Develop repeatable frameworks for sustained lead volume.
  • Plan, Coordinate, and Execute Outreach Events: Manage end-to-end logistics for community and educational events, including scheduling, venue setup, materials preparation, and staffing. Ensure events are registered, documented, and executed in compliance with CMS guidelines.
  • Educate Prospects and Members on Plan Benefits: Clearly and compliantly present Alignment Health plan benefits, services, providers, and eligibility to prospective and current members. Conduct new member orientation and ongoing education events.
  • Support Licensed Agents in Lead Conversion and Enrollment: Coordinate with sales agents to hand off qualified leads, support sales presentations, and participate in enrollment meetings. Track lead-to-enrollment conversion in Salesforce.
  • Maintain Compliance with CMS and Internal Marketing Standards: Distribute only approved marketing and event materials. Partner with Marketing and Compliance teams on collateral development. Escalate compliance concerns promptly.
  • Track Activity, Report Results, and Optimize Performance: Maintain daily Salesforce updates, submit weekly activity summaries, and provide a monthly event calendar. Use data to identify top-performing venues and refine outreach strategies.
