About The Position

The Community Outreach Liaison will serve as the primary connection between BrightQuest and the local community. This role involves building relationships with key referral sources, developing and implementing engagement strategies, managing a calendar of outreach events, and collaborating with community partners to execute these events. The position will work closely with Treatment Teams, providers, and referents to ensure excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration throughout a client's treatment journey. The role is crucial for supporting facility referrals and admissions, as well as client engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business administration, psychology, social services or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Specific, required, current, and active licensure, registration, or certification must be maintained in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a business development, marketing, or admissions role in behavioral health or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of records keeping, documenting, and filing.
  • Sound understanding of mental illness, co-occurring disorders, milieu therapy, mental health, and levels of care based on individual’s needs.
  • Working understanding of private pay and Out-of-Network providers, along with criteria for each level of care.
  • Must be able to relate well to people inside and outside the organization, use diplomacy and tact to diffuse high-tension situations, and provide solutions for problems that threaten internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrates ability to clearly and succinctly communicate verbally and in writing, with effective and dynamic presentation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to use various software programs.
  • Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.
  • Successfully complete comprehensive background check (including criminal record clearance), MVR screen, and drug screen.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends, and adapt schedule as needed.
  • Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check.

  • Preferred candidate to be in Florida or in Northeastern U.S.
  • Travel is expected for this position. Willing to travel as needed, including outside of home region, to promote BrightQuest treatment facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources such as hospitals, primary care physicians, social service agencies, and other mental health providers.
  • Attend community events, conferences, and workshops to increase visibility and network with potential referral sources.
  • Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the community about mental health and the services offered by the treatment center.
  • Collaborate with local organizations to identify and address community needs related to mental health.
  • Maintain the referent database using Salesforce, ensuring contact information is current and all activity is recorded daily.
  • Maintain consistent activity levels for weekly meetings, facility tours, referrals, admissions, and maintain a high level of performance consistent with the expectations of the organization.
  • Work in collaboration with the Admissions team in obtaining requested treatment records for incoming clients, as necessary.
  • Provide treatment records in response to incoming requests with appropriate authorization.
  • Transmit treatment records to continuing care providers, referents, feedback professionals, etc. at the conclusion of each client’s treatment.
  • Prepare and distribute copies of treatment records in compliance with HIPAA Privacy Law.
  • Work in collaboration with the clinical team and communicate with members of the Professional Relations team upon each new client’s admission and through treatment to identify appropriate aftercare resources, ensure that referent preferences are incorporated, and resolve needed elements prior to discharge.
  • Conduct and have a high level of engagement in face-to-face meetings, frequent involvement in hosting various events (breakfast, lunch, dinner, networking, site visits).
  • Have regular and consistent participation in industry networking events and virtual meetings.
  • Sustain current referent relationships and develop new business referent relationships.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
