SoundSeattle, WA
$32 - $35Hybrid

About The Position

SOUND Behavioral Health is hiring an Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Clinician in Seattle, WA. This role involves working with high-risk, high-acuity clients, conducting assessments in the field, and frequent communication with legal representatives, including judges. Assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) is the practice of providing community-based mental health treatment under civil court commitment to motivate adults with mental illness who struggle with voluntary treatment adherence to engage fully with their treatment plan, and to focus the attention of treatment providers on the need to work diligently to keep the person engaged in effective treatment. This is an outreach-focused role throughout the Seattle area, with a home base at the Capitol Hill clinic. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The Assisted Outpatient Team (AOT) is a community-based outreach team that works with clients identified as high-utilizers with a pattern of involuntary psychiatric hospitalizations, likely jail involvement and a pattern of barriers to successfully maintaining outpatient care. AOT team members work intensively with a small caseload of clients, largely in the community, using harm reduction strategies, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused interventions to move toward positive care transitions that reduce repeat hospitalizations. This job requires a person with a high level of comfort working with people who are experiencing a wide range of mental and/or behavioral disorders including actively using substances and is almost entirely community/outreach-based.
