About The Position

The Frederick Keys Community Outreach and Stadium Events Intern is a part-time internship for current university students who will receive college credit. The intern gains real-world experience and works with the organization’s events and marketing teams, building a professional network and engaging with fans in the community. In collaboration with the Keys Sales and Marketing team, the intern helps plan, set up, and attend off-site events. The intern also works with the Events team to plan, set up, and execute outside events at Nymeo Field.

Requirements

• Be a current college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student earning academic credit in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, or a similar field.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to uphold company and Attain customer service standards.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and a dedicated team player.
• Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Eagerness to listen, learn, and receive constructive feedback.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in event planning or community outreach is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Keys at community events and promotions by distributing marketing materials.
• Assist with planning and coordinating community events.
• Assist with social media coverage of outside public appearances and events.
• Assist with developing an outreach strategy.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to event planning.
• Gain knowledge and experience in event management and execution responsibilities.
• Represent the organization at outside community events and appearances.
• Represent the organization as mascot Keyote when needed.
• Assist with planning and executing outside events, including Scout Night and Baseball Camp.
• Work Frederick Keys home games and other events at Nymeo Field as directed by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager or Manager of Events.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager, Manager of Events, and General Manager of the Keys.
