The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute's Community Hematology Oncology (CHO) program is seeking an accomplished and visionary Breast Medical Oncologist to join our growing team in a leadership capacity. This is an exceptional opportunity to help shape and expand breast cancer services across the OHSU Health network while advancing the Knight Cancer Institute's mission to end cancer as we know it. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership for breast oncology services within CHO and partner closely with multidisciplinary teams across the Knight Cancer Institute. This leader will play a key role in developing innovative care models that improve access to high-quality, evidence-based breast cancer care throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. This position will have responsibility for overseeing the Breast Cancer Program at our Community Hematology & Medical Oncology practices. While clinic responsibilities will most likely be focused on the Good Samaritan and Meridian Park locations, this Breast Cancer Specialist will be responsible for establishing and deploying consistent clinical standards across the community locations (a total of five sites). The Breast Cancer Specialist collaborates with the Breast Program at OHSU’s main campus to ensure consistent clinical standards and to deploy clinical trials at our community sites. While breast specialists have a specific focus, community hematology-oncology physicians are considered generalists and may see other patient types. The position includes primarily outpatient coverage, but on-call coverage across the group is required. Teaching and Research pursuits are expected, including clinical teaching of fellows in a community-based longitudinal clinic and participation in clinical trials.
