About The Position

The Community Office Manager is responsible for managing an assigned Community Office to meet the financial services needs of customers in the community. Working as the leader within the Community Office sales/service team, the Community Office Manager will implement strategies to achieve goals developed for the office, ensuring compliance with operations policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements. The Community Office Manager will directly supervise staff within the office and independently interact with customers towards a mutual benefit. This includes the ability to adequately deliver a solution to a customer situation, a demonstrated ability to achieve personal sales/acquisition goals, and the ability to motivate, coach and mentor Community Office personnel towards their individual and Community Office goal attainment. The Assistant Manager is expected to understand, comply, and enforce operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements established for the Retail Services function. This role should actively develop customer relationships in an effort for long term association including active involvement in outside community associates as a representative of the bank. This position also directly supervises, coaches and mentors assigned personnel.

Requirements

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience normally required.
  • Specialized banking education and training.
  • Notary certification or willingness to obtain as requested.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' related banking experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to achieve office goals, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Follow Community Office Manager Priorities as defined in the Retail Routines.
  • Lead by example in creating an exceptional customer service experience and monitor/correct deviations.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop staff in communicating bank products/services to achieve sales goals.
  • Actively manage the internal sales experience of the Community Office; create motivation and sales culture.
  • Provide timely sales information and/or reports.
  • Support Group Manager, Retail Banking in ensuring office operations comply with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Establish quantitative sales objectives with Retail Regional Managers.
  • Develop individual sales plans for targeted achievement.
  • Independently solicit new business from present and prospective customers.
  • Maintain ongoing business relationships with current customers for cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of bank products and services to ascertain customer needs and sell accordingly.
  • Make “outside” sales and customer service calls on present and prospective clients.
  • Oversee office platform and remedy customer situations.
  • Provide direct service to customers with respect to deposit, loan, trust, and other miscellaneous products and services.
  • Open and close the Community Office.
  • Assist customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments.
  • Provide help to customers with specific inquiries or service problems.
  • Guarantee signatures as required.
  • Perform special projects and other tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with established operating policies and procedures to support Bank adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Community Office Manager with organizing work and activities to achieve goals.
  • Monitor the efficiency and performance of the office versus established standards.
  • Keep personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures.
  • Create an atmosphere where upward communication from employees is encouraged.
  • Administer personnel policies and procedures as established by Bank policy.
  • Actively participate in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the bank.
