About The Position

CBI Health is Canada's leading community healthcare provider with a national interdisciplinary network of over 2,500 healthcare staff and professionals. We are committed to innovating our services to provide better recovery and support for our clients. Our Community Rehabilitation Services team in Ontario treats clients who have experienced mental stress injuries, focusing on a return to pre-accident function. In our Traumatic Psychological Injury program, Occupational Therapists work with clients such as first responders who have experienced trauma in the workplace. This role offers the opportunity to conduct in-vivo exposure therapy, behavioral activation, and facilitate trauma processing, coping, and return to function. Our innovative approach incorporates evidence-based care and novel interventions like virtual reality to promote industry-leading mental health outcomes. This program is unique, allowing OTs to become experts in a growing and niche area of the profession.

Requirements

  • Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • Access to a reliable vehicle (travel up to 1-1.5 hours radius)
  • Willingness to provide in-vivo OT treatment in a variety of settings (client’s homes, workplaces, and/or in the community)

Responsibilities
