Our Community Rehabilitation Services team, operating across Ontario, specializes in treating clients with mental stress injuries, focusing on their return to pre-accident function. Within our Traumatic Psychological Injury program, Occupational Therapists work with clients, such as first responders, who have experienced workplace trauma. This role involves conducting in-vivo exposure therapy, behavioral activation, and facilitating trauma processing, coping strategies, and return to function. We utilize innovative, evidence-based approaches, including virtual reality, to achieve industry-leading mental health outcomes. This unique program offers the opportunity to become an expert in a specialized and growing area of OT practice.

Requirements

  • Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to provide in-vivo OT treatment in various settings (client homes, workplaces, community)

Responsibilities
