Under supervision and in cooperation with Mental Health and Substance Abuse professionals and paraprofessionals, to learn to perform a variety of paraprofessional Mental Health and Substance Abuse services in the community or clinic setting, and to perform related work as required. This opening is in the Behavioral Health and Social Services Branch of the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) and serves Women’s Recovery & Resiliency Services program (Substance Use Treatment) and the CalWORKs Behavioral Health Team (CBHT). As a Community Mental Health Worker, you will be responsible for running & facilitating childcare cooperative services, providing & planning transportation services, working front reception, scheduling clients, screening intakes, maintaining medical records, and preforming community outreach/presentations in addition to other support tasks. This position requires working level knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience working with Children.
