One full-time permanent Community Mental Health Coordinator position available, starting on August 24, 2026, working 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

A relevant degree in psychology, social work, related discipline or equivalent education combined with extensive relevant work experience.
Minimum of three to five years of experience working in Children’s Mental Health.
Experience working with families with complex needs.
Extensive knowledge of community resources and local mental health, educational, housing, child protection, and youth justice systems and services.
Must have a solid knowledge base in children’s mental health and can remain current regarding evidence based or evidence informed practices.
Highly developed professional, verbal and written skills, with a demonstrated ability to deal with a diverse range of people.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with strong decision-making capabilities.
Exceptional organizational skills and the capability of multi-tasking to meet various timelines are essential.
Available to work flexible hours to meet client needs, as required.
Proven ability to work in collaboration with other service providers.
A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

Provides service coordination, brief treatment interventions, advocacy and linkage to community services for children and youth experiencing mental health difficulties.
Conducts a community-based needs assessment to produce individualized service plans, assists in identifying needs and accessing services, coordinates services among multiple service providers, liaisons with psychiatry, local school boards, housing providers, Family and Children Services, justice system and other clinical personnel involved with child, provides home based family counselling and crisis support as required.
Family engagement and brief intervention skills.
Service coordination and system navigation.
Advocacy and collaboration.
Documentation and case management.
Works intentionally from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive perspective to further create a sense of belonging at the Agency.
