About The Position

The Community Marketing Coordinator develops and executes the performance of DEXSTA’s marketing, communication, community development, community outreach, and strategic growth initiatives. This role requires a strong, collaborative team member who can drive measurable increases in membership, product utilization, and overall revenue through effective teamwork, community and partner engagement, and modern digital marketing practices. This position is responsible for executing and implementing comprehensive strategies that expand the Credit Union’s presence and branding across the communities we serve, strengthening relationships, and promoting the full suite of Credit Union products and services. The Community Marketing Coordinator collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure marketing, community outreach, and development activities are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Extended sitting of up to 70% of the time.
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds may be frequently required.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds may be occasionally required.
  • Bending and reaching above and below shoulder level may be frequently required.
  • Sound perception/discrimination is frequently required.
  • Continual verbal speech ability, color perception/discrimination and texture perception/discrimination is required.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills (calculations/concepts involving decimals and percentages).
  • Ability to analyze and collect data.
  • Excellent oral, written, communication, spelling, proofreading skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills, organization and time management needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of not-for-profit community-based marketing principles.
  • A flexible work schedule and travel are required.
  • A valid Driver’s License is required.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Associate’s degree in marketing/business/communications or a related field and /or equivalent job-related experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities of the role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of marketing and/or communications experience; credit union or financial industry a plus.
  • Experience managing a small team is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements in addition to all state and federal laws and regulations, including Regulation CC, the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP).
  • Educate members on various credit union policies, procedures and related laws and regulations where applicable.
  • Works with various departments and vendors to implement and enhance products and services.
  • Organize public relations events and member functions, build community partnerships, financial education initiatives to strengthen DEXSTA’s community presence
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Team, branch leadership and the Marketing Communications Coordinator to create and guide impactful digital content and events that increase community awareness and engagement for both members and potential members.
  • Serve as liaison for other departments to exchange and relay marketing related information as needed.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Communications Coordinator to analyze member trends, market opportunities, and competitive insights to identify and create business development strategies.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Communications Coordinator to ensure marketing and communication materials to are professional, accurate, and community-reflective representation of the Credit Union.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Communications Coordinator to prepare periodic reports that reflect the department activity, progress toward goal attainment and the effectiveness of programs and promotions.
  • Support marketing-related events, presentations and employee education or training.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
