The Community Market Coordinator ensures a welcoming, organized environment by managing daily market operations and front desk duties. This role supports clients with access to services, connects them to case managers, and upholds program standards. Through leadership, task delegation, and strong communication, the coordinator helps deliver an efficient, client-centered experience aligned with The Just One Project's mission.

Requirements

  • 2+ year of Non-Profit Experience (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bilingual in Spanish (required)
  • Must attend six mandatory 'Pop Up & Give' events per year
  • Must possess valid unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Food Handlers Card
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Google Meets and Calendar.
  • Proficient in using Salesforce for client documentation, tracking, and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with housing services, wrap-around programs, and self-sufficiency initiatives.
  • Proven track record of managing a caseload and delivering measurable outcomes in client stability and self-reliance.
  • Familiarity with SNAP program procedures and requirements (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the market remains well-presented by regularly restocking shelves, upholding high standards of cleanliness throughout the space, and keeping SWAP signage current and properly displayed.
  • Monitor inventory and restock items up to five times daily to ensure availability.
  • Keep market areas and storage spaces clean, sanitized, and well-organized.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize stocking procedures and space use.
  • Assist customers in locating food items and navigating the market area.
  • Handle food in compliance with SNHD safety and hygiene standards.
  • Greet visitors warmly and direct them to appropriate areas or staff.
  • Manage front desk operations including answering phones and responding to emails.
  • Assist in scheduling client appointments and updating records.
  • Maintain a tidy and professional reception area to enhance client experience.
  • Set up the reception area each morning, including turning on the TV and music.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles to align team goals and priorities.
  • Lead and oversee overall market operations and support team success.
  • Delegate tasks to volunteers and interns to ensure smooth operations.
  • Take initiative in leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving as needed.
  • Provide program support for Senior Nutrition Wellness (SNW) and Golden Groceries.
  • Assist clients with completing applications and recertifications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of client recertifications.
  • Connect clients to appropriate case managers based on assessed needs.
  • Connect clients to their scheduled appointments with case managers.
  • Support staff with general administrative tasks such as filing and mail distribution.
  • Regularly sanitize high-touch surfaces and common areas throughout the day.
  • Power down equipment and secure confidential materials at the end of the shift.
  • Support market events with logistics, setup, and coordination efforts.
  • Uphold The Just One Project's Gold Standards and promote a culture of excellence.
  • Assist case managers with client follow-ups and outreach.
  • Conduct preliminary client assessment and gather essential information.
  • Any other job duties as assigned.
