Community Manager

Cal.com
Hybrid

About The Position

We're hiring a Community Manager based in NYC to run our creator ambassador program and own the community side of Cal.com's brand. Your mission is to build real relationships with creators, ship content that performs, and grow the surface area of how people discover and talk about Cal.com. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role for someone who lives on TikTok, X, and YouTube, and has strong instincts for what performs and why. You'll own our ambassador and UGC programs end-to-end, from sourcing creators to briefing them to measuring what's working. We're starting this as a part-time contractor role (~10 hrs/week) with a clear path to full-time as the program scales. You'll work closely with the brand, growth, and GTM teams and have real ownership over the content engine that drives awareness and adoption.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience (internships, side projects, and freelance count)
  • You've made things on the internet and you understand what performs and why
  • Fluent with AI tools in your workflow (Claude, Cursor, automation tools). We'll ask how you use them
  • Organized and self-directed. You'll manage a lot of moving pieces with minimal hand-holding
  • You love meeting new people and building beyond surface-level relationships
  • Comfortable with data. You can pull numbers, spot trends, and make decisions from them
  • Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube from a creator and growth perspective
  • Strong instincts for content, taste, and visual culture
  • Based in NYC and available to work in-person when it helps the work

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running ambassador, affiliate, or UGC programs
  • Familiarity with creator tooling (Modash, Passionfroot, Gleam, or similar)
  • Experience with developer-focused or SaaS audiences
  • Comfort with automation tools (Zapier, Clay, Make)

Responsibilities

  • Run and scale our creator ambassador program, growing organic performance week over week
  • Manage creator relationships end-to-end: sourcing, outreach, briefing, feedback, retention
  • Build real, long-term relationships with creators that go beyond surface-level transactions
  • Develop and iterate on content strategy based on what's actually performing
  • Build and improve automated workflows for sourcing, outreach, briefing, and reporting
  • Track performance across platforms and optimize for what drives signups and engagement
  • Experiment with new content formats, platforms, and creator types
  • Stay close to how social platforms, algorithms, and the creator economy are shifting
  • Support brand social and paid social campaigns as needed

Benefits

  • $50/hr to start, with a clear path to full-time at competitive base + meaningful equity
  • No standups, no micromanagement, no unnecessary calls
  • Real flexibility, take time for life stuff, no approval needed
  • Flexibility to work around your schedule
  • Team retreats in beautiful locations (invited once you're full-time)
  • People-first culture, stable, family-friendly, kind
