About The Position

Chief is a private network for powerful women executives, aiming to maximize their leadership impact. The network includes members from over 10,000 companies, with a significant portion being C-suite executives. Chief offers a blend of digital and in-person experiences, including executive coaching, education, programming, and events. This is a contract position running from July through January. The Community Manager - Large Market is a member-facing role focused on facilitating member relationships and connections within their designated markets. The role requires a deep understanding of local needs, identifying opportunities for engagement, and developing strategies in collaboration with members. This position reports to a Senior Community Manager / Team Lead.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of local needs across multiple markets.
  • Ability to develop strategies in co-creation with members.
  • Experience in gathering data to understand community needs and track success.
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital platforms for community engagement.
  • Responsibility for KPIs indicating member engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Experience managing a budget, ensuring spend aligns with strategic priorities and member impact.
  • Ability to travel to host in-person events in non-home based markets at least 2-3 times per month.
  • Experience creating programming and facilitating in-person events and experiences.
  • Ability to maintain a heatmap of a local market to understand member gathering preferences.
  • Skill in monitoring member-led meetups for engagement opportunities.
  • Experience building relationships with local partners.
  • Ability to proactively build relationships between local members.
  • A growth mindset and a member-obsessed culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and iterate on a local, in-person community strategy to drive member connections and build community, ultimately aiming for member retention.
  • Gather data to understand community needs and track success metrics.
  • Leverage the digital platform to enhance local community engagement.
  • Be responsible for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to member engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Manage and steward the market’s community budget, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and member impact, and regularly submitting and tracking spending.
  • Travel required to host in-person events in non-home based markets at least 2-3 times per month.
  • Create programming and facilitate in-person events and experiences tailored to local member needs, delivering a minimum of 2-3 events per month.
  • Maintain a heatmap of the local market to understand member gathering preferences and plan events accordingly.
  • Monitor in-person, member-led meetups to identify opportunities for support and engagement.
  • Build relationships with local partners to enhance the member experience.
  • Proactively build relationships between local members to support their community building and connection efforts.
