About The Position

Action Property Management, a leader in HOA management for four decades, is seeking an experienced Portfolio Community Manager to join their Sacramento, CA Portfolio Team. This hybrid role requires the candidate to manage 4 to 7 communities, providing expert service and knowledge. The position is based in the Greater Sacramento Region and involves commuting to various locations within the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HOA management, civil codes, construction defects, financial budgeting, and capital improvement management.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of HOA portfolio management experience.
  • CMCA certification or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Evening availability for Board meetings.
  • Ability to travel to and from property for in-person meetings when needed.
  • Keen knowledge of budgets and the budgeting process.
  • Strong knowledge of audits, reserve studies, bidding process, and Association governing documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to following up on all issues in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with civil codes & construction defects.
  • Financial budgeting and capital improvement management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 4 to 7 communities.
  • Focus on key objectives and offer superior service, expertise, and knowledge.
  • Commute within the Greater Sacramento, CA region, including Auburn, Placerville, Vallejo, and Modesto, CA.
  • Attend Board meetings in the evenings.
  • Travel to and from properties for in-person meetings when needed.
