About The Position

Primary Functions: To provide effective monitoring and oversight of Intermittent CILA Services, Home and Community Based respite services, and Semi-independent Living homes, in a manner which ensures program activities and environment are consistent with IFP goals and objectives, promotes the health and safety and growth in residents' acquisition of daily living and interpersonal skills needed to function as independently as possible in the community in accordance with applicable certification and DHS licensing requirements and standards. Supervisor Responsibilities: Selects and supervises (orients, trains, schedules, evaluates, disciplines, commends, and directs daily activities) assigned subordinate staff utilizing measurable performance evaluation criteria for staff growth and ensuring performance standards necessary to meet the needs of persons served are met in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of the Agency and the services it provides. Carry and respond to Agency pager within departmental designated timeframes 24 hours per day 7 days per week, except when on General Leave or when other arrangements are made with supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in a residential setting

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in social services, psychology, or related field as required by the IL Department of Human Services (DHS).
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable certification and DHS licensing requirements and standards.
  • Select and supervise assigned subordinate staff (orient, train, schedule, evaluate, discipline, commend, and direct daily activities).
  • Utilize measurable performance evaluation criteria for staff growth.
  • Ensure performance standards necessary to meet the needs of persons served are met.
  • Carry and respond to Agency pager within departmental designated timeframes 24 hours per day 7 days per week, except when on General Leave or when other arrangements are made with supervisor.
