About The Position

We’re looking for a Community Life Coordinator to join our team at Four Seasons at Hilton Head Lakes, an active adult 55+ community offering resort-style Lowcountry living with amenities including a pool, pickleball, and a golf simulator currently under construction. This is a highly visible, resident-facing role for someone who enjoys helping people, keeping things organized, and making sure the details behind a great community experience come together. You’ll support resident programs and events, communications, administrative needs, and day-to-day community operations while serving as a welcoming and dependable resource for residents and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience planning or coordinating events and/or programs
  • 1–2 years of professional experience with relevant transferable skills
  • 1–3 years of customer service experience in a professional environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, prioritization, and attention to detail
  • Confidence interacting with residents and handling challenging conversations professionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Flexibility to support occasional evenings or holidays based on community needs
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation for occasional off-site programs, meetings, or supply pickups; valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, marketing, communications, recreation, or a related field preferred, but not required
  • Experience working with volunteers, members, or similar stakeholder groups preferred
  • Experience in a master-planned or residential community environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a friendly, caring, and professional point of contact for residents and other community stakeholders.
  • Respond to questions and concerns in person, by phone, and in writing, connecting residents with the appropriate team member when needed.
  • Help navigate challenging or escalated situations with composure, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Lead with hospitality so residents and guests feel welcomed, valued, and heard.
  • Assist with community events, programs, activities, clubs, volunteer initiatives, and other experiences that bring residents together.
  • Maintain community calendars, event registrations, program information, and related systems.
  • Work alongside the Community Engagement Director and other partners to help create programming that reflects resident interests and the character of the community.
  • Look for opportunities to strengthen connection, participation, and a sense of belonging throughout the community.
  • Support administrative needs including special projects, records, mass mailings, resident communications, and informational materials.
  • Help maintain the website and digital content with current community, event, and program information.
  • Stay organized across multiple priorities and follow through on details from start to finish.
  • Take ownership of questions and needs through resolution rather than simply passing them along.
  • Collaborate with residents, teammates, volunteers, vendors, and community partners.
  • Communicate with care and professionalism in every interaction.
  • Approach problems with curiosity, respect, and a willingness to find solutions together.
  • Contribute to a team environment where people share knowledge, support one another, and help make the community better.
