About The Position

Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated Community Life Concierge to join our team. The Community Life Concierge supports a vibrant, person-centered community by coordinating activities and fostering meaningful connections with residents and their families. Guided by the Best Friends™ Philosophy, this role promotes dignity, engagement, and overall well-being through thoughtful communication, compassionate presence, and tailored programming. The Concierge helps ensure residents feel known, supported, and enriched each day while contributing to a warm and welcoming living environment.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
  • During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to remain on duty for the duration of the event.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Works in compliance with all HIPAA regulations and standards.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in recreation, healthcare, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Florida State Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in senior living, hospitality, dining services, or activity coordination with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the overall resident experience by helping create a warm, engaging, and person-centered environment.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and leading group and individual life enrichment programs that reflect residents’ interests, abilities, and preferences.
  • Organizes and prepares for special events, functions, and off-campus outings; coordinates volunteers and partners with outside vendors to enhance program offerings.
  • Creates, distributes, and updates the monthly activity calendar; completes required documentation, including attendance tracking, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team members to relay resident needs, preferences, concerns, or changes in condition.
  • Documents resident observations and updates and reports them to the Community Life Manager to support coordinated care.
  • Cultivates meaningful relationships with residents and families through active listening, empathy, and respect; assists with transitions such as admissions and room changes.
  • Applies the Best Friends™ Philosophy in daily interactions by knowing each resident’s life story and fostering purposeful, relationship-centered engagement.
  • Welcomes and visits new residents to assess interests and introduce them to community programs.
  • Monitors resident well-being during programs and daily interactions, ensuring safety and inclusion; assists with emergency procedures such as fire drills.
  • Supervises and schedules assigned activity staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Manages activity-related resources, including budgeting and purchasing, following financial guidelines.
  • Adheres to community policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Attends staff meetings and training programs; maintains a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
