About The Position

The IESP Community Liaison is a key member of the Inuvialuit Energy Security Project (IESP) team and serves as the primary connection between the project and communities across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. This role is highly community-facing and involves regular engagement with ISR communities, including travel as required. The Liaison is responsible for sharing project information, building relationships, supporting community capacity, including youth engagement and workforce readiness, and gathering community feedback to inform the project team.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of related administrative, coordination, or community engagement experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working in cross-cultural environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations
  • Experience in community engagement, outreach, or stakeholder relations
  • Knowledge of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region
  • Experience supporting project-based initiatives
