About The Position

The BrightWorks Community Lead is responsible for the overall success and day-to-day operations of their assigned coworking location. More than a hospitality or administrative role, this position carries direct ownership of the member experience, occupancy, community engagement, and overall performance of the site. Key responsibilities include following up on leads, selling private offices and coworking memberships, coordinating events and programming, building strong member relationships, and proactively managing the ongoing needs of the space. The Community Lead works closely with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure the location maintains and grows revenue, operates smoothly, and reflects the BrightWorks brand and experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, service-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual takes pride in their site, anticipates needs before they arise, and is motivated by creating a thriving, well-run community that drives member satisfaction, retention, and growth.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, hospitality, leasing, event management, coworking, property management, or a similarly fast-paced customer-facing environment with operational responsibility.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing and/or admin role
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and taking ownership of day-to-day business operations, customer relationships, and client service outcomes.
  • Experience in sales, leasing, business development, hospitality sales, or event coordination strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to professionally engage members, guests, vendors, and prospective clients.
  • Highly organized with the ability to independently prioritize tasks, solve problems proactively, and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment that requires balancing sales, operations, hospitality, and event coordination responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general comfort learning new systems, software platforms, and scheduling tools.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain a consistent professional presence onsite.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items associated with office operations and event setup within reasonable limits.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events, networking opportunities, or operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Drive occupancy and revenue growth through active prospecting, lead generation, networking, tours, follow-up communication, and closing coworking memberships, private office singing, and event bookings.
  • Manage the full sales and client lifecycle process, including inquiries, tours, proposals, contracts, onboarding, renewals, upgrades, cancellations, and retention efforts for both members and event clients.
  • Build strong relationships with members by understanding their businesses, providing proactive support, resolving concerns promptly, and fostering a professional, community-focused environment.
  • Lead event sales and booking efforts by responding to inquiries, conducting venue tours, preparing proposals, coordinating contracts, and maintaining strong communication throughout the planning process to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Coordinate and administer onsite events and partnerships by working with vendors, caterers, community organizations, and local businesses while overseeing event planning, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, procurement, setup logistics, vendor payments, and day-of execution.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute community programming, networking opportunities, and onsite events that enhance member engagement, strengthen retention, and promote the BrightWorks brand in coordination with the rest of the BrightWorks team.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and presentation of the site, ensuring coworking spaces, offices, conference rooms, event space, and shared areas remain clean, functional, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, IT, HVAC, janitorial teams, vendors, and shared services departments to address operational needs and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Manage site communications, including member updates, operational notices, event promotion, and coordination with the Marketing Team on advertising, social media content, newsletters, and local promotional initiatives.
  • Handle operational and administrative responsibilities including billing coordination, invoicing, mail handling, office supply management, conference room scheduling, reporting, data entry, and maintaining accurate member and event records.
  • Oversee site access and security procedures, including key management, emergency preparedness, incident reporting, and compliance with building policies and safety procedures.
  • Conduct regular site walkthroughs to proactively identify operational, maintenance, hospitality, or presentation needs and ensure a high-quality member and guest experience.
  • Gather and interpret member, guest, and client feedback to identify opportunities for operational improvements, increased engagement, and enhanced service offerings.
  • Serve as site safety lead, maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures and onsite safety equipment.
  • Provide support across BrightWorks locations as needed, including cross-site operational coverage, event support, and administrative assistance.
