About The Position

The Community Integration Supervisor provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for community integration programming that increases youth access to resources, strengthens social inclusion, and supports successful transitions into stable housing. This role supervises frontline community integration activities, supports staff in delivering youth-centred services, develops and maintains community partnerships, and ensures programming is aligned with Housing First for Youth, trauma-informed, harm reduction, and anti-oppressive practice frameworks. The Community Integration Supervisor also supports quality assurance, reporting, service planning, and continuous improvement to ensure youth receive consistent, responsive, and effective supports.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Social Service Work, Community Development, or an equivalent related social services field.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in the social service sector plus 1 year supervisory experience, preferably supporting youth experiencing homelessness, housing instability, complex needs, and systemic barriers.
  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership, coaching, coordination, or supervision to staff, students, volunteers, or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Housing First for Youth, trauma-informed practice, harm reduction, youth engagement, crisis response, and strengths-based case management approaches.
  • Experience developing, coordinating, and evaluating youth programming, life skills initiatives, community engagement activities, and service plans.
  • Strong understanding of issues relating to youth homelessness and the barriers youth face in attaining and maintaining housing, as well as knowledge of the broader housing and youth-serving sector in Peel.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with community agencies, service providers, culturally specific organizations, and systems partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, documentation review, data collection, statistical reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Cultural competency, sensitivity, and demonstrated commitment to working through an EDIB, anti-oppressive, anti-racism, and youth-centred framework.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain professional boundaries, manage competing priorities, support conflict resolution, and respond effectively to crisis or high-risk situations.
  • A valid Ontario’s full G Driver’s Licence is required, with a clean driver’s abstract. A $2,000,000 minimum liability car insurance coverage is also mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work in a 24-hour, 7 days a week operation, while supporting an on-call rotation.
  • Valid CPI/UMAB and First Aid/CPR certifications.
  • WHMIS and Food Handling Certification recommended.
  • Completion of a successful Vulnerable Sector Check/Criminal Record Check will be a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coordination, and supervision of community integration services, ensuring programming is youth-centred, inclusive, and aligned with organizational standards.
  • Support, coach, and guide staff in facilitating youth access to community resources, recreational, educational, occupational, vocational, and life skills opportunities.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of integration plans, community mapping, and supplementary case management supports that assist youth in transitioning into and maintaining stable housing.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor group-based and one-on-one life skills programming onsite and in the community.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly youth programming calendars, ensuring a balance of internal and external opportunities.
  • Lead or support resident meetings, resident engagement strategies, and satisfaction surveys, ensuring youth feedback informs program planning and improvement.
  • Ensure staff actively engage youth on a daily basis to encourage participation in programming, life skills development, community connection, and goal achievement.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with partner agencies, community service providers, and culturally appropriate organizations to increase access, referrals, and coordinated supports.
  • Represent the program through community presentations, information sessions, committees, networks, and collaborative planning tables as required.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of culturally appropriate programming that promotes social inclusion, builds strengths, enhances skills, and supports diverse youth populations, including Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, newcomer, and other equity-deserving youth.
  • Compile, review, and submit statistical information, program data, and monthly reports to support evaluation, funder requirements, service planning, and program development.
  • Support onboarding, training, scheduling, performance feedback, and day-to-day problem solving for staff, students, and volunteers as assigned.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative working environment that supports team communication, reflective practice, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform all other duties as required to support successful program operations and organizational success.
