About The Position
Clarvida is hiring a Community Integration Specialist for the Catalyst Program in San Diego, California. This full-time role provides direct services to Transitional Age Youth ages 16–25 who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. The specialist coordinates participant needs and supports recovery and wellness goals in a collaborative, recovery-oriented environment. The role also includes participant and family support, mentoring in life skills, connecting participants with community resources, and transporting participants using a personal car or vehicle.
Requirements
- A personal car or vehicle is required for transporting participants.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience working with youth in an employment or volunteer capacity.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to participants and coordinate needs for each participant on the caseload.
- Identify and build upon the strengths of consumers, coworkers, and the communities served.
- Support consumers’ steps toward recovery and wellness.
- Create an organizational culture that respects and celebrates the diversity of consumers.
- Provide participant and family support.
- Mentor participants in communication skills, affect management, problem-solving, stress management, and other life skills.
- Assist participants in contacting and utilizing community resources.
- Participate in the development of wellness and recovery plans.
- Transport participants to accommodate community relationships using a personal car or vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and/or the company.
