International House (I-House) is a non-profit organization affiliated with the University of California, Berkeley, dedicated to fostering intercultural respect and leadership skills for a more equitable and peaceful world. Founded in 1930, I-House provides housing for over 600 UC Berkeley undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students, creating a vibrant multicultural living and learning community. The Community & Housing Coordinator (CHC) is a full-time, live-in professional staff member responsible for the administrative management and daily operations of International House's residential community. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Resident Life & Housing Operations, the CHC is the primary operational lead for the department, ensuring the successful execution of residential services, housing operations, community support, shared spaces, housing processes, and student staff initiatives. This role involves working closely with Resident Advisors (RAs) and other student staff, enforcing student conduct, providing 24/7 emergency crisis response, and assisting with departmental priorities. The position requires a visible presence within the community and participation in the professional staff on-call rotation.
