International House (I-House) is a non-profit organization affiliated with the University of California, Berkeley, dedicated to fostering intercultural respect and leadership skills for a more equitable and peaceful world. Founded in 1930, I-House provides housing for over 600 UC Berkeley students, creating a vibrant multicultural living and learning community that promotes understanding and acceptance. The Community & Housing Coordinator (CHC) is a full-time, live-in professional staff member responsible for the daily administrative management and oversight of International House's residential community. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Resident Life & Housing Operations, the CHC is the primary operational lead for residential services, housing operations, community support, shared spaces, housing processes, and student staff initiatives. This role involves working closely with Resident Advisors (RAs) and other student staff, enforcing student conduct, providing 24/7 emergency crisis response, and assisting with departmental priorities. The position requires a strong on-site presence and participation in the professional staff on-call rotation.
