The Community Health Specialist II for the Trager Institute delivers eight annual virtual state-approved foundational Community Health Worker (CHW) training cohorts, managing scheduling, instruction, and learner support for each cohort cycle. This position is also responsible for providing Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to CHW trainees, following completion of MHFA trainer instruction and certification. Close communication with the grant leadership team, trainees, and state leadership is necessary. Leading regular training and ensuring the implementation of the grant work plan is necessary to remain compliant with funder expectations and guidelines. This position is grant funded and continued employment is contingent upon continuation of those funds.
