Ready, Set, Smile (RSS) is a 501c (3) nonprofit founded in 2013 to provide culturally rooted dental services, oral health education, and community outreach to low-income children and families of color who lack access to dental care. Through education and preventive services, Ready Set Smile prepares and empowers all children in our community to care for their oral health. The CHW Program Developer plays a critical role in our organization. The Community Health Coordinator supports the organization in strengthening and expanding our model of Community Health Worker-based oral health education and care. This role requires commitment to teamwork and flexibility to effectively support the RSS team. This is an in-person position with travel up to three times a week, to partner locations around the Twin Cities. We reimburse for mileage while working. There are opportunities to train for and receive a Community Health Worker Certificate while in this role. We prioritize hiring people who are a part of the communities we serve. We work throughout the Twin Cities, primarily in low-income schools and childcare centers. This position could be for 4 or 5 days a week, 32 or 40 hours. If the person in this position is fluent in Spanish, Karenni, Karen, Somali, or Hmong, they will start at a slightly higher pay rate ($0.50 higher).
