About The Position

The Community Health Program Specialist will implement CDC-funded community health initiatives to promote healthier communities. The role advances public health in low- and moderate-income Asian American communities through culturally and linguistically appropriate health education, community outreach, media outlets, grassroots engagement, and strategic partnerships. The specialist will analyze program outcomes and collaborate with healthcare providers, local governments, and nonprofits to advocate for policies and systems changes that improve community health outcomes. The position is located in Annandale, Virginia.

Requirements

• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement CDC-funded community health initiatives.
• Develop and deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate health education seminars and workshops on nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
• Conduct community outreach on nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
• Advance public health efforts in low- and moderate-income Asian American communities through media outlets, grassroots outreach, and strategic partnerships.
• Analyze program outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, local governments, and nonprofits to advocate for policies and systems changes to improve community health outcomes.
