Under direction, the purpose of the position is to organize and establish partnerships with internal and external partners to offer comprehensive information regarding services and resources that enhance the medical and mental health well-being of Osceola County citizens. This role provides oversight for the development, planning, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of activities related to the Opioid Settlement Funding. The coordinator will implement opioid prevention, education, and recovery support initiatives, and coordinate programs with various healthcare providers, organizations, and community entities. The position also involves educating community members on preventative health topics, managing contracts, developing procurement solicitations, building partnerships, assisting with community health assessments, collecting and reporting program data, and representing the department at community events.
