About The Position

This full-time contractual position provides health and disease prevention information on lead and asthma to medically underserved populations in the community and assists them in adopting healthy behaviors. This position will improve outcomes and reduce disparities for eligible children with either blood lead exposure, moderate to severe persistent asthma, or both.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • One year of experience in providing information on health care and disease prevention within the community.
  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring vehicle operation).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing assistance to individuals in a health care or social services setting.
  • U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Health Services classifications or Health Services and specialty codes in the health related field of work.
