About The Position
Under the supervision of the Community Health Services Director, provides public health nursing services directed at prevention, assessment, risk reduction, and health status improvement and intervention for individuals, families, and population groups in the county. Nursing activities include, but not limited to, systematic analysis of health data, care plan development, health education and advocacy, coalition building and collaborating with community partners to promote the health of a population.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Two years of progressively more responsible experience in public health
- Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
- Valid Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of nursing, public health promotion programming, and providing nursing services and care
- Skill in the use of office equipment and technology, including Microsoft Suite and applicable database applications, and the ability to learn new technologies
- Skill in the use of medical equipment used in the duties described above
