Requirements

• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
• Must meet the PA residency requirement
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a background investigation
• Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance

Nice To Haves

• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Review county health data to identify needs and guide public health activities
• Create initiatives based on protocols, guidelines, and community priorities
• Track communicable diseases and enter data into state health systems
• Provide information on health topics to support community awareness
• Offer case management and support to individuals and targeted groups
• Deliver immunizations and conduct disease-related specimen collection according to guidelines
