Requirements

• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review data and community information to identify local public health needs and guide health programs
• Create and support public health initiatives that address key health priorities in the community
• Work with local partners, committees, and organizations to coordinate health efforts and share important health information
• Track reportable diseases and participate in investigations to support disease control and prevention
• Provide education and guidance on public health topics to help individuals and groups make informed decisions
• Deliver direct health services such as immunizations and testing in accordance with public health guidelines
