About The Position

The main purpose of this part-time contractual position is to provide direct nursing care to patients in local health department clinics and community settings. This position will be responsible for providing support as well as direct patient care, primarily in the AERS (Assessments, Evaluation, and Review Services), NM (Nurse Monitoring) and CFC (Community First Choice) programs. This position will also be assigned to provide clinical support and/or program support to any other Community Health Services Bureau program, including Health Education’s HOW (Health on Wheels) community engagement events.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
• Possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring vehicle operation).
• Provide a telephone number at which they can be reached.

Nice To Haves

• Experience conducting in-home evaluations.
• Experience completing evaluations in facility settings (e.g., hospital, nursing home or psychiatric hospital).
• Experience working with individuals who have mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in local health department clinics and community settings.
