About The Position

This full-time contractual position is responsible for nursing services to individuals, groups and families within the cancer screening and chronic disease programs; maintaining records to provide accurate client data; participating in program evaluation in order to support continuous quality improvement by collecting and analyzing program and client data; providing care coordination for clients to promote healthy behaviors and access to care through appropriate assessment, planning, linkage, monitoring, and evaluation; providing health education and outreach activities to individuals and/or groups to promote healthy behaviors and access to care. This position is required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for On Call support.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing.
  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland (if assigned duties requiring vehicle operation).
  • Provide the facility with a telephone number at which they can be reached.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates may substitute a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a Registered Nurse for the required education.
  • Candidates may substitute two years of experience as a Registered Nurse for the required education.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classification or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
