Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of community health experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's Degree - Healthcare Admin/related

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing oversight, management and strategic direction over all aspects of Community or employee-based health programs.
  • Serves as a central liaison and resource to community and BJC partners.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Develops and oversees programs targeted for health literacy in the community and in collaboration with select external partners.
  • May assist in management of the health of select patient populations through advanced health assessments, evaluations, diagnosis and interventions.
  • Provides health education and information to patient populations within the community and/or BJC.
  • Supports the hospitals in serving their community and/or employees with preventative and educational health services.
  • Complements BJC and/or individual system hospital’s public health strategy by providing much needed services.
  • Coordinates and/or implements BJC health literacy and screening initiatives for employees.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports on relevant data.
  • Assists in researching and planning new programs.
  • Develops an annual comprehensive health plan for external clients as needed.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
  • Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Seeks opportunities to pursue participation in research, planning and/or the evaluation of program components.
  • Tracks, analyzes and reports on relevant data and disseminates findings appropriately.
  • Implements findings and uses data to improve care of patients and the systems of healthcare delivery.
