About The Position

At In Flight, Inc., we empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to reach for their hopes and dreams, and support a meaningful quality of life. We’re looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to join our Community Habilitation program. As a Community Habilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work one-on-one with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities, providing support at home and in the community to help them build independence and life skills. This is a flexible, fun, and rewarding role where you can make a direct impact. Cases are in Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck, Salt Point, Pine Plains, Wappingers, LaGrange and Red Hook. This is a per diem position.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Pass all NYS and OPWDD background clearances
• Attending a week and a half orientation in Red Hook
• USE OF YOUR OWN VEHICLE -Mileage reimbursement available

Nice To Haves

• Working with Individuals that have IDD preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Teaching new tasks

• Planning activities within the community
• Working independently while collaborating with other team members
