About The Position

Black Girl Vitamins is seeking a Community Growth Manager to leverage its highly engaged online communities (Facebook group, Instagram, TikTok, Discord) into a significant revenue channel. The goal is to increase customer lifetime value and reduce reliance on paid advertising by fostering repeat purchases and brand loyalty within these existing communities. This role requires a deep understanding of the BGV community's culture and needs, and the ability to translate community engagement into commercial success.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in community, social media, lifecycle marketing, or growth roles at a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) brand, with a proven track record of linking community efforts to commercial outcomes.
  • A revenue-focused mindset, prioritizing commercial results over mere reach.
  • Deep cultural fluency with the BGV community, understanding the lived experiences and health concerns of Black women.
  • Ability to embody the brand's voice and connect authentically with the customer base.
  • Strong and rapid writing skills, capable of motivating creators.
  • Experience running conversion-driving programming such as contests, UGC campaigns, ambassador programs, and live events.
  • Hands-on experience with social media platforms, Discord, Shopify, Klaviyo, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the 45,000-member Facebook group, implementing recurring programming, exclusive member drops, and an ambassador tier to drive repeat purchases.
  • Act as the brand's voice in comment sections across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, converting questions into sales, complaints into loyalty, and user-generated content (UGC) into marketing assets.
  • Oversee the TikTok affiliate Discord server, providing briefs, challenges, and incentives to enhance the volume and quality of affiliate-created content, in partnership with the creator/affiliate lead.
  • Develop and execute shareable contests, games, live Q&As, wellness sessions, and launch events designed to encourage community growth and engagement.
  • Drive community-to-commerce initiatives, including managing community codes, landing pages, bundles, referrals, and early-access drops, collaborating with retention and SMS teams to maximize member LTV.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by surfacing product ideas and objections to the team and validating new launches through community feedback before significant investment.
