About The Position

At Upper Valley Haven, we believe everyone deserves access to food, shelter, and support with dignity and respect. We are seeking a welcoming, organized, and community-minded Community Food Market Registration Coordinator to help create a positive first experience for customers accessing our Community Food Market. The Community Food Market Registration Coordinator owns the customer registration and check-in experience for the Community Food Market. As one of the first people customers encounter, you play a critical role in helping individuals feel welcome, respected, and comfortable while accessing food resources and other Haven services. This position combines customer service, volunteer coordination, and administrative responsibilities. You'll manage customer registrations, maintain accurate records, support registration volunteers, and help ensure the waiting and reception areas are organized, accessible, and informative. You'll also look for ways to improve the registration experience, reduce barriers to access, and ensure customers receive the information and resources they need.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service, administrative support, human services, food access programs, volunteer coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, public-facing environment.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and database systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • A welcoming, respectful, and professional approach to customer service.
  • Reliability, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience coordinating volunteers.
  • Experience in nonprofit, food access, healthcare, education, or community service settings.
  • Experience supporting customers who speak languages other than English.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist new and returning Community Food Market customers.
  • Manage the customer registration and check-in process.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential customer records and data.
  • Train, schedule, and support registration volunteers.
  • Help create a welcoming, inclusive, and customer-centered environment.
  • Support customers who speak languages other than English through available tools and resources.
  • Maintain a comfortable, organized, and informative waiting area.
  • Connect customers with Haven programs and community resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve registration processes, communication, and customer experience.
